Alexandra Cotoc

Alexandra Cotoc is currently a Teaching Assistant of English for (Specific) Academic Purposes and a researcher specialised in linguistics at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She has a BA in English Language and Literature and French Language and Literature, an MA in Current Trends in Linguistics. At Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of Letters, English Department, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, she is a PhD in English (Internet) Linguistics with a thesis on Language and Identity in Cyberspace.

Research Interests

Internet linguistics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, multimodal identity construction in the digital space and face to face, online social networks, digital theory and practice, e-learning and blended learning, foreign language teaching.
